Monson Savings Bank Donates $2,050 to the East Longmeadow Rotary to Support Fireworks and Summer Concert Series

Ryan Quimby, Chairman of the East Longmeadow Fourth of July Parade Committee, met East Longmeadow Branch Manager, Aimee Kohn, at the Monson Savings Bank East Longmeadow branch to receive the Bank’s generous donation of $2,050, in support of the Fourth of July Parade and a sponsorship of the Summer Concert Series.

Monson Savings Bank is proud to be involved with their communities, and that is certainly no different when it comes to supporting the vibrant community of East Longmeadow, where the Bank opened their newest branch location at 61 North Main Street. Recently, East Longmeadow Branch Manager, Aimee Kohn, met with Ryan Quimby, Chairman of the East Longmeadow Fourth of July Parade Committee. She proudly presented him with a donation on behalf of Monson Savings Bank totaling $2,050 to support the town’s Fourth of July and summer festivities.

Monson Savings Bank donated $1,550 to sponsor a concert for the East Longmeadow Rotary Summer Concert Series. On July 14th, Union Jack, a British Invasion, will be entertaining the crowd. Monson Savings Bank will be present as the sponsor to share fun giveaways with attendees, while supplies last. All concerts will take place at the East Longmeadow High School field, beginning at 7:00 P.M.

Additionally, to celebrate the Fourth of July holiday, Monson Savings Bank contributed $500 to the East Longmeadow Rotary Foundation to help provide the community with a fantastic fireworks display on July 3rd, 9:30 P.M., at East Longmeadow High School.

“I am so excited that the East Longmeadow Fourth of July celebrations and Summer Concert Series will be taking place this year,” said Aimee Kohn, East Longmeadow Branch Manager. “Monson Savings Bank has been a part of the East Longmeadow community for almost a year now and we are very proud to support and take part in town events.”

Celebrating the Fourth of July is an annual tradition in East Longmeadow. Traditionally, the East Longmeadow Rotary Club hosts a carnival, a fireworks display, and a town wide parade. Last year, the pandemic prevented these annual celebrations from happening.

Fortunately, the East Longmeadow Fourth of July Carnival, Fireworks and Concerts are back this summer! The Carnival will be held Wednesday, June 30th to Saturday July 3rd from 6 P.M. to 11 P.M. at Center Field, East Longmeadow. The fireworks display will be happening on July 3rd at 9:30 P.M. at East Longmeadow High School. The East Longmeadow Rotary Summer Concert Series will be kicking off right before the fireworks on July 3rd at 7 P.M. and will continue every Wednesday evening at 7 P.M. until August 11th.  The concerts will be taking place at the East Longmeadow High School sports field. The concerts are free events, anyone is welcome to join.

The East Longmeadow Rotary Club asks that everyone who attends these fun events to please follow local and state health and safety guidelines.
