Monson Savings Bank, a local bank that has been in operation for more than 150 years, has a long history of supporting Western Massachusetts communities. For the past couple of years, one of the many organizations Monson Savings Bank has been showing its support to is Springfield’s Hispanic-American Library.

The Hispanic-American Library, located in Union Station at 55 Frank B. Murray Street in Springfield, is dedicated to expanding community-based library services to the residents of Springfield and beyond. Its mission focuses on the works, achievements, and accomplishments of Hispanic American authors, musicians, and artists. By providing collections and services centered on Hispanic American culture, the library aims to promote literacy and cultural education through the arts, music, history, and literature. Additionally, the library is committed to increasing and enhancing literacy through diverse and cultural programs, offering the community culturally empowering events and a safe space to read and work. Several Monson Savings Bank team members attended the exciting festival. Then in 2024, Monson Savings Bank donated $2,500. This time their donation was geared towards supporting the Library's literacy program.

“The Hispanic-American Library thanks Monson Savings Bank for their generous support over the past couple of years,” said Falcon. “Their backing has helped us to better serve the community. We are grateful for our friends at Monson Savings.”
