Monson Savings Bank is proud to announce the promotion of Catherine E. Rioux to the position of Assistant Vice President Commercial Loan Officer. In her new role, Rioux will continue to serve the community by educating and assisting current and prospective borrowers with a variety of financing options, including commercial and industrial (C&I) loans, and commercial real estate lending.

Rioux, a resident of Monson, brings nearly two decades of banking experience to her role, including 12 years, specifically in lending. She began her career at Monson Savings Bank in 2006, initially viewing it as a part-time opportunity. However, her passion for banking quickly grew, and she gained experience across nearly every department in the Bank.

“I am excited and grateful for the growth opportunities that I have had throughout my career at Monson Savings Bank,” said Rioux. “What started as a part-time job during high school has grown into a fulfilling career of which I am incredibly proud. I have had the chance to learn from some of the best bankers in our area, and I am thankful for the support and mentorship I have received along the way. I am especially passionate about helping local businesses succeed and being a trusted resource for their financial needs. I look forward to continuing to build strong relationships within our community and contributing to the Bank’s mission of delivering exceptional service and support.”

Rioux holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Western New England University, with a major in Management and a minor in Communications. She is also a graduate of the New England School of Financial Studies and the Springfield Regional Chamber Leadership Institute. Her professional accomplishments include recently being named one of BusinessWest’s 40 Under 40.

In addition to her professional achievements, Rioux is deeply involved in her community. She lives in Monson with her family and serves on the Town of Monson Scholarship Committee, volunteers at St. Patrick’s Church, supports Girls on the Run Western MA, and is a member of the Monson Free Library Finance Committee.
