Text Message Fraud Alerts

At Monson Savings Bank, we want to make sure that using your debit card is always as safe and convenient as possible. That’s why we are introducing text alerts as part of our ongoing fraud monitoring program, to allow you to instantly keep tabs on suspicious card activity.
 
Here is how text fraud alerts works:
 
With text fraud alerts, if our system detects suspicious activity on your Monson Savings Bank debit card, you’ll receive a text message from the short code 37268 with details about the suspected transaction. All you have to do is respond to the text to confirm the transaction, the system will mark the transaction as legitimate, and you can carry on with your purchase or payment by initiating another transaction. If you indicate the transaction is fraud, you’ll receive another message with a number to call for follow-up. 
 
Want to receive text alerts? If we have your mobile phone number on file, you don’t have to do anything to take advantage of this service.* It’s really that easy. If there is suspicious activity, we’ll send a text alert right away. If you need to verify or update your mobile phone number give us a call at 413-267-4646.
 
 

Phone Call Fraud Alerts 

Monson Savings Bank utilizes an phone call automated fraud response service known as the Card Fraud Detection Center. This system utilizes the latest fraud technology and measures to fight fraud attempts.

This service may call you in the event that it detects a transaction on your debit card that it considers suspicious. This service will NEVER ask for your personal information. Should you receive an automated call from our Card Fraud Detection Center, please note the case number provided and call: 833-735-1894 or 833-735-1892.

We recognize this can be an inconvenience; however, this process is helpful in protecting your accounts, stopping potential fraud, and catching criminals. We advise our customers to have a variety of payment methods available to ensure daily activities are not interrupted, even if temporarily.
