Monson Savings Bank Continues its Support of Girls Inc. of the Valley

A group of Monson Savings Bank employees recently volunteered their time at Comm”unity” Summer Nights at Girls Inc. of the Valley.

Monson Savings Bank is a local community bank that is dedicated to empowering individuals to reach their highest potential. To further that commitment, the Bank has made several efforts this year to support Girls Inc. of the Valley.

Girls Inc. of the Valley is a Holyoke based non-profit. The organization serves youth ages 5-18 who reside in the local communities. They offer after-school and summer programs, at no cost to families. Girls Inc. offers students a pro-girl environment based on mutual respect with opportunities for leadership. Their research-based programs guided by highly trained staff support students in navigating their path to independent adulthood. Monson Savings Bank has been a proud community partner of Girls Inc. of the Valley for several years.

Most recently, a group of seven Monson Savings Bank employees volunteered their time at Comm”unity” Summer Nights at Girls Inc. (pictured above). Girls Inc. of the Valley hosted several Comm”unity” Summer Nights at their Holyoke location throughout the summer. During the last event of the season, Monson Savings Bank representatives assisted with crafts, serving dinner, monitoring activities, and more.

Back in February, Monson Savings Bank President & CEO Dan Moriarty and AVP Business Development Officer Kylie LaPlante visited Girls Inc. of the Valley’s Holyoke headquarters to receive a tour of the newly renovated building. During their visit, they proudly presented a donation to Girls Inc. of the Valley Executive Director Suzanne Parker and Development & Communications Director Jessica Colson in support of their annual Spirit of Girls event.

This is the third year Monson Savings Bank has been a sponsor of Girls Inc. of the Valley’s Spirit of Girls event. This annual event highlights the successes of the students who attend Girls Inc.’s program and is one of the non-profit’s largest fundraising events of the year.

“Monson Savings Bank is proud to support Girls Inc. of the Valley and their mission to inspire girls to reach their fullest potential,” said Moriarty. “Our partnership has spanned a few years now, and we are pleased to continue to donate our team’s time and money to Girls Inc. of the Valley so that they can continue to provide students in the Valley with valuable services and resources.”

On behalf of Girls Inc. of the Valley, I would like to extend a sincere thank you to all our partners, including Monson Savings, who help us support the Valley’s youth.”
