If you missed being able to attend one of our popular first time homebuyer workshops, no worries!
Monson Savings Bank will be planning another free workshop soon to help first time homebuyers learn about purchasing a home. A first time homebuyer is anyone who has never owned a home or who has not had ownership in any real estate for at least three years.
These workshops are designed to help first time homebuyers learn how to get pre–qualified for a mortgage, as well as the facts about special loan programs with low down payments. You will be amazed at what you can learn from our expert speakers including our originators Charlene Kareta and Terry Poloski, a closing attorney, an appraiser, a home inspector and homeowner’s insurance representatives.
"There are a lot of people who have good credit and enough income to afford reasonable mortgage payments but who are still challenged to purchase a home due to the difficulty of raising the money for a down payment, not knowing who to talk to or what the process is." said Steve Lowell, President of Monson Savings Bank. "That's exactly who these programs are designed to help".
