MSB Employee Spotlight: Liz Seekins

If you don’t know already, we have amazing employees at Monson Savings Bank and we want you get to know them. The MSB Employee Spotlight is an ongoing series highlighting the achievements, hard work, fun details, and individual traits that make Monson Savings Bank employees so great!

I am a banker, a wife, a daughter, and a dog mom.

What is your role at Monson Savings Bank and how do you help your customers?

I am a Customer Service Representative at Monson Savings Bank. I help my customers by assisting them with every day transactions, opening new accounts, and offering solutions to any challenges they may come across.

What do you like most about your position?

I love helping our customers.  I especially enjoy getting to know our customers on a deeper level, beyond just completing their transaction. It’s wonderful to learn more about their lives and their families.

How long have you been with Monson Savings Bank?

I have been with Monson Savings Bank for two years. I've worked in banking for a little over four years.

What are the top things you love about MSB?

The top thing I love about MSB is how well employees are taken care of. At MSB we aren’t just a number, we are all members of a team working together to reach a common goal and you can really feel that in the way we interact with one another. In the Wilbraham Branch we all work so well together. There’s nothing we can’t conquer, and if we come across a problem we work together to find a solution, whether it be reaching out to another department or simply figuring it out amongst ourselves.

I also love the feeling of working at a small, hometown bank where every customer and co-worker is like family. The community feel makes me look forward to coming to work every day.  

How do you feel connected to the local communities?

I love being involved in the local communities. I volunteer at local community events every chance that I get.

How do you feel at the end of the day after helping customers?

At the end of the day I feel very accomplished. I leave work knowing that I did everything I could do to put a smile on our customers’ faces and help them to find banking solutions.

What are your roots?

I was born and raised in Monson and I currently live in Stafford, CT.

Tell us about your family or friends and what they mean to you.

My family and friends mean the world to me. They are there for me at every milestone, big or small. They have helped me grow into the person I am today.

What values are most important to you to uphold? 

Honesty, Respect, and Integrity

What are your hobbies?

I enjoy hiking with my dog and traveling.

Favorite music?

I listen to a lot of music, but my go to is country!

Favorite meal?

Anything Mexican, especially tacos!
