Two-factor Authentication Coming Soon!
The security of your account is always a top priority at Monson Savings Bank.
Beginning Tuesday, March 5, 2024, Monson Savings Bank will be implementing a new two-factor authentication security feature for account access, ensuring your online and mobile banking experience remains safe and secure. This new security feature is designed to confirm your identity and the device you are using to prevent unauthorized access to your account information. If the system detects a new device or suspicious activity, you may be asked to further verify your identity via a one-time passcode sent to your phone.
What to expect at log-in:
Following this implementation on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, the next time you log in to your online banking account through our website or Mobile Banking app, you will be prompted to set up your phone number and choose your preferred delivery method – text message or phone call.
Next, you will receive a text message or phone call containing a passcode. This passcode should be entered when logging in to complete your phone number verification.
Once entered, you will be logged into Online Banking.
What does two-factor authentication mean for you?
- No more frustrating security questions when accessing your account
- No need to memorize your new passcode – each generated code is unique
- Each passcode is sent directly to your device for easier access
- Your account is more secure
If you have any questions or issues with getting two-factor authentication set up, call or visit your local Monson Savings Bank branch or call 413-267-4646.
