Monson Savings Bank Announces Election of Nikki Burnett to Board of Directors

Nikki Burnett was recently elected to Monson Savings Bank’s Board of Directors.

Monson Savings Bank is pleased to announce the election of Nikki Burnett of Springfield to the Bank’s Board of Directors.

"I am honored to have been elected to Monson Savings Bank’s Board of Directors. I look forward to working alongside dedicated colleagues to ensure Monson Savings Bank continues to grow and serve as a trusted resource for our region,” said Burnett, Director of Educare Springfield and newly elected member of Monson Savings Bank’s Board of Directors.

Nikki Burnett, Executive Director of Educare Springfield, was born and raised in Springfield. After graduating from the High School of Commerce she went on to complete an associate’s degree in arts and science from Holyoke Community College. Burnett received her bachelor’s degree in leadership and organizational sciences and completed her master’s degree in leadership and negotiation, both from Bay Path University. She is currently in a Doctoral program at Bay Path University and will complete her Doctor of Education in Higher Education Leadership and Organizational Studies in May of 2025.

In addition to her work as Executive Director at Educare Springfield, she is a Trustee for the Community Foundation of Western MA, serving on the Distribution Committee as co-chair, the DEI subcommittee, and Executive Committee. She also sits on national committees for the Educare Learning Network, such as the Educare Policy Work Group and the Collaborative Fundraising Advisory Board and the Red Nose Day Advisory Board. Burnett is also a member of the Baystate Community Benefits Advisory Council. Recently, she was appointed to the statewide New Markets Tax Credits Advisory Board.

Burnett has served on the Board of Directors for the Public Health Institute of Western MA, and on their Race and Equity subcommittee and Governance Committees. She has a passion for helping women find their power and is a past Board Member for Dress for Success of Western Massachusetts, where she also served on their Marketing Committee.

Empowering her community, raising awareness, and building equity have been Burnett’s passion for over 30 years. She is one of the founders of the Faith Based Health Advocates Alliance and has previously sat on the Board of the Mason Square Health Task Force.

Above all, ministry and service to others are at her core. She proudly serves in her church, Progressive Community Church of Jesus Christ, via the Guide Ministry and G.L.O.W. Ministry.
