Monson Savings Bank is pleased to congratulate Heather Arbour, Vice President of BSA, Fraud and Compliance, on her graduation from the American Bankers Association (ABA) Stonier Graduate School of Banking.

Arbour earned both a Stonier Diploma and a Wharton Leadership Certificate.

The ABA Stonier Graduate School of Banking is a highly regarded graduate-level banking program designed to prepare banking leaders for broader organizational responsibilities. The multi-year program combines study in areas including strategic leadership, risk, marketing, and financial performance with interactive learning and a bank management simulation. Participants also complete a capstone project focused on an initiative within their own organization.

“Heather’s completion of Stonier is an outstanding accomplishment and reflects the dedication she brings to her professional development and to Monson Savings Bank,” said Dina Merwin, SVP, Chief Risk and Senior Compliance Officer. “Completing such a rigorous program while balancing the responsibilities of her career and family takes incredible commitment and perseverance. We are extremely proud of Heather and congratulate her on this hard-earned achievement.”

Stonier is conducted in partnership with the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

“Heather’s commitment to continued learning and leadership is a tremendous asset to Monson Savings Bank,” said Dan Moriarty, President and CEO.  “Completing Stonier is another significant milestone in her career.”

Reflecting on the experience, Arbour shared her plans to apply the knowledge, perspectives, and leadership skills she gained through Stonier to her work at Monson Savings Bank.

“Stonier was an incredibly rewarding experience that challenged me to think differently about leadership and the banking industry. I am grateful to Monson Savings Bank for supporting my continued professional development and for the opportunity to bring what I have learned back to our organization,” said Heather Arbour, VP of BSA, Fraud and Compliance.

Arbour serves as Vice President of BSA, Fraud and Compliance at Monson Savings Bank, where she oversees BSA/AML compliance, fraud prevention, and compliance program management. During her nearly 20-year career with the Bank, she has taken on increasing levels of responsibility.

Earlier this year, Arbour was also named the Massachusetts Bankers Association's 2026 Emerging Leader Award recipient, recognizing her leadership and contributions to the banking industry.
