Monson Savings Bank Sponsors HomeFront Strong's Shaped by Service Art Show

Monson Savings Bank recently donated $1,000 to HomeFront Strong, formerly known as the Brookfield Institute, in support of their annual Shaped by Service Art Show.
HomeFront Strong’s Shaped by Service Art Show, hosted by Workshop13 at their Artworks Gallery, highlights the healing power of art for many of our service members, veterans, and their families. The artwork of service members, veterans, and their family members were displayed at Artworks Gallery in Ware during the Artists Reception the weekend of Veterans Day.
Shannon Ortona, Monson Savings Bank Ware Branch Manager and the proud mother of a Marine, enjoyed attending the Artists Reception and meeting several of the artists.
“As the mother of a Marine, HomeFront Strong’s mission personally touches me, and I am grateful to work at a community bank that supports organizations like them,” said Ortona. “HomeFront Strong’s Shaped by Service Art Show is such a special event. It not only showcases the artwork of those who have served our country and their family members, but also brings together people who have the commonality of a connection to the military. Art is often very therapeutic; it gives people an opportunity to express their experiences. Monson Savings Bank is proud to support HomeFront Strong’s effort to give these artists a platform.”
